Solid Drums and Bass, driving Guitars, powerful vocals and a kick ass sexy front woman, make for eye popping live shows and give Dirty Epics their edge. SJ Wai is one of the most exciting and electric performers to emerge from the Irish scene, as heralded by Hotpress, The Irish Times, The Irish Independent… Their much anticipated debut album hit the shelves in Ireland in October 2008. With addictive tracks like The Cure, the stomping PONY and rock party anthem We're Coming Up, It knocked the critics sideways… Boldly entitled "Straight In No Kissing", Dirty Epics released on their own label SCAR Records and are distributed by Universal Music in Ireland.

Having just returned from the US from shows in NY - The Mercury Lounge and Pianos, SXSW, their packed out Music from Ireland Official Showcase in the Soho Lounge… and LA at The Cat Club their thrilling performances have seen them gig in nearly every major venue in Ireland… Crawdaddy – their very first gig was voted "Gig of the Week" by The Irish Times Tripod - supporting The Rapture The New Bands Stage - Oxegen 2007 and The Green Stage at Oxegen 2008, Indie Pendence, Castlepooloza, Hennessy Artistry, The Academy, The POD, Hard Working Class Heroes performance, Music Ireland in the RDS and various other hotspots around the Ireland North and South.

Dirty Epics have performed on RTE shows Podge and Rodge, The Café, The Once a Week Show, W-E TV, The Raw Sessions (to air in May) UTV's Live at the Limelight. The bands songs feature continuously as the soundtrack for TV promos in Ireland and also currently on The Starz Entertainment Cable Network in the US and have been included in Irish TV shows like RAW. They will be the only Irish band featured in the Nokia Music Stores Sessions from SXSW to be released very soon…
